What is the G+G @ MKE Gives Back Program?

At Glass + Griddle, we are committed to the communities we have chosen to be a part of. That is why we are starting the G+G @ MKE Gives Back program to support local nonprofits whose values and missions reflect our own. Glass + Griddle and Milwaukee Brewing Company are committing to partnering with 9 non-profits from the community throughout the year, starting in April. Each month, Milwaukee Brewing Company will select a seasonal beer where proceeds will benefit the assigned partner non-profit.

 

  • The Glass + Griddle front dining room will be held on the first Tuesday of the month for an optional fundraising event and beer tasting party.
  • G+G and Milwaukee Brewing Company will donate an auction item for the fundraising efforts.
  • G+G will waive the room rental for a fundraising event, and also offer 10% off a future event in the Venue at Milwaukee Brewing Company for the non-profit
  • 10% from the day of the fundraising event’s revenue will go to the non-profit
  • $1 from each designated beer sold that month will go to the non-profit
  • $1 from each signature cocktail sold that month will go to the non-profit (cocktail to be created by Glass+Griddle staff)

Who should apply to be a G+G @ MKE Gives Back Partner?

Glass + Griddle enjoys helping all organizations that enrich the community, but for the G+G @ MKE Gives Back program, we welcome organizations that meet the following criteria to apply:

  • Organizations must have an IRS tax-exempt classification under 501 (c) (3) of the IRS code.
  • Organizations must clearly demonstrate a commitment to community improvement.
  • Organizations must have a program that will benefit from the award. Award funds are not to be used for general operating expenses.

What is the application process?

  1. Please only apply if your cause meets the three consideration points listed above.
  2. Complete the application form and essay.
  3. Application period is February 1st – February 29th, 2020.
  4. After the application period closes, the G+G @ MKE executive team will review the applications and select 20 finalists.
  5. In partnership with Milwaukee Brewing Company, G+G will narrow the finalists to 9 to align with each month April – December.
  6. G+G @ MKE Gives Back partners will be notified by email on March 15th, 2020.
  7. F Street Hospitality will issue a press release to announce the 2020 G+G @ MKE Gives Back partners!

G+G @ MKE Gives Back Program Calendar

February 1 – February 29 Application Period – Apply to be a G+G @ MKE Gives Back Partner!

March 1 – March 10 Application Review – Applications are reviewedfinalists are selected.

March 15 G+G @ MKE Gives Back partners are selected and assigned a month for the 2020 period.

To be considered as an applicant for the G+G @ MKE Gives Back Partnership you must meet the three criteria noted above (under the Who Should Apply to be a G+G @ MKE Gives Back Partner) and submit the G+G @ MKE Gives Back Application, your essay, and the organization’s 501(c)(3) documentation to Glass + Griddle via the below form, during the application period.
